GETTING THEREWE’LL MAKE IT EASY TO ARRIVE — SO YOU CAN FOCUS ON BEING TOGETHER.
WHEN TO ARRIVE
Plan to arrive on Thursday, May 27, 2027. Resort check-in opens at 3:00 PM. The Welcome Reception begins at 7:00 PM with heavy appetizers, live music, and the first gathering of the weekend. If you’re traveling from a distance, arriving by mid-to-late afternoon will give you time to settle in, unpack, explore the resort, and be ready when the evening begins.
If you’re arriving late Thursday evening or Friday morning, don’t worry — a welcome bag and room surprise will be waiting for you, and a late-arrival volunteer will ensure you have everything you need.
WHEN TO DEPART
The gathering concludes on Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day). There is a farewell breakfast at 7:30 AM and a final group photo at 9:00 AM. Resort checkout is by 11:00 AM. We strongly recommend planning departing flights for Monday afternoon or later so you don’t miss the group photo and the goodbyes that matter.
AIRPORT ACCESS
We are targeting a resort location within driving distance of one or more of these major airports:
✦ Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) — the busiest airport in the country with direct flights from virtually every city
✦ Charleston International (CHS) — a beautiful, manageable airport with growing domestic service
✦ Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) — a major American Airlines hub with excellent connectivity
Specific airport recommendations, driving directions, and an embedded map will be added once the venue is confirmed.
GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE RESORT
We are exploring options for group transportation (shuttles or charter buses) from the nearest airport to the resort for families arriving during peak windows. Car rental coordination and ride-sharing threads will also be set up through the family WhatsApp group. Full transportation details will be shared once the venue and logistics are finalized.
WHAT TO PACK
A detailed packing list will be shared closer to the event. For now, plan to bring:
✦ Casual, comfortable clothing for daytime activities, excursions, and free time
✦ Comfortable, casual attire for Saturday worship — no need for heels or suits, just come as you are
✦ Formal or semi-formal attire for the Sunday Banquet — this is the red-carpet night (suits, dresses, gowns — whatever makes you feel like the evening is special)
✦ Swimwear and athletic wear for the pool, outdoor activities, and the Family Olympics
✦ Comfortable walking shoes for resort grounds and excursions
✦ A light jacket or sweater for evening events (outdoor fire pit, air-conditioned banquet hall)
All travel and logistics updates will be shared via email and the family WhatsApp group as details are confirmed.
