FAQ

  • Memorial Day Weekend, Thursday May 27 through Monday May 31, 2027. We are in the process of securing a full-service resort in the southeastern United States, targeting the Georgia/South Carolina corridor. The exact venue will be announced as soon as the contract is finalized. Join the interest list to be the first to know.

  • We are targeting a full-service resort with on-site dining, a banquet hall or ballroom, comfortable guest rooms, pool and recreation areas, outdoor gathering spaces, meeting rooms for programming, and proximity to nature or water. We want a setting that feels like a retreat — not just a hotel. The venue is being selected with accessibility, beauty, and practicality in mind for every generation.

  • Registration pricing is being finalized and will be shared when registration officially opens. We are committed to full transparency: the cost structure, what’s included, and what’s optional will all be clearly communicated. Monthly payment plans will be available so the total can be spread over several months. After the event, a complete financial summary will be published to the family.

  • Registration will cover accommodations for the weekend (Thursday through Monday), meals, access to all programming and activities, children’s and youth programming, the Sunday Banquet (including dinner, talent showcase, and production), and all event logistics. Friday afternoon excursion activities may be priced separately depending on the offerings at the resort.

  • A full refund and payment policy will be published when registration opens. We understand that plans change, and we will design a policy that is fair to both families and the event. Registrations will be transferable to another family member. Full details will be available on the Payment Policy page.

  • Yes. Dedicated programming is being designed for three groups: Children (ages 0–11), Youth (ages 12–17), and Young Adults (ages 18–30). Each group will have their own activities, their own space, and their own special moments — including arts and crafts, team challenges, games, heritage activities, a youth hangout space, and a young adult mixer. All groups rejoin the full family for meals, worship, the Family Olympics, and the Sunday Banquet. A full Children, Youth & Young Adult Programming Guide has been developed.

  • Casual and comfortable clothing for daytime activities, excursions, and Saturday worship — no need for heels or suits at the resort. Formal or semi-formal attire for the Sunday Banquet — this is the red-carpet evening, so bring your best. Swimwear and athletic wear for the pool, outdoor activities, and Family Olympics. A detailed packing list will be shared closer to the event.

  • You can indicate your interest in performing when you fill out the interest form or when you register. All genres and skill levels are welcome: singing, dancing, spoken word, comedy, instrumental music, skits, and more. The programming team will follow up with performers to coordinate details and finalize the lineup. There will also be a casual Open Mic Coffeehouse on Saturday evening for anyone who wants to share in a more relaxed setting.

  • Saturday is observed as Sabbath by the family. This means Saturday’s programming is centered on worship, reflection, legacy, and rest. There are no competitive games, loud music, or high-energy events on Saturday. The day includes a worship service, an Enrichment Circle where elders share stories and the family listens together, and a long afternoon of sacred rest. Saturday evening, after sundown, a gentle fellowship resumes with fire pit conversation and an open mic. Everyone is welcome to participate at whatever level feels right for them.

  • Absolutely. We are building payment plans specifically to make this accessible. The cost will be spread over several monthly installments. We don’t want money to be the reason anyone misses this weekend. Add your name to the interest list, and when pricing is released, let’s have a conversation about what works for your family.

  • This reunion is for family — but we define family broadly. Spouses, partners, and significant others are absolutely welcome. Close family friends may be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you’d like to bring someone, reach out to the planning committee and we’ll work it out.

  • We strongly encourage attending the full Thursday-through-Monday experience — the arc of the weekend is intentional, and each day builds on the one before. But we understand that some families may need to arrive late or leave early due to travel constraints. Partial attendance options may be available. Contact the planning committee to discuss.

  • We’d love your help. The reunion is organized by a volunteer planning committee with workgroups covering programming, finance, decorations and ambiance, communications, volunteer coordination, and more. Whether you can give five hours or fifty, there’s a role for you. Reach out through the Contact page or mention it on the interest form and someone will follow up.
